All the tickets have already been sold out and the interest amongst the Faroese was remarkably high. It is the Faroese Employers Association that has invited Bill Clinton to speak to the Faroese gathering about globalization.
Since Clinton left his presidency six years ago, he has spoken to companies and groups in many countries around the world, but never in a small nation like the Faroe Islands – with a population of only 48.000.
Hans Blix became known to the world when he was head of the United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission from January 2000 to June 2003. Now he is the chairman of the Weapons of Mass Destructions Commission, formed by the Swedish government.
