Terms and Conditions for Visa

The administration of visas is under Danish jurisdiction. You can learn whether you require a visa to visit the Faroes on the website of the Danish Embassy in London.

The list of countries requiring visa for entering the Faroes is the same as for Denmark. Furthermore, conditions for obtaining a visa for the Faroes are similar to the conditions for obtaining a visa for Denmark.

A visa for Denmark does not give the visa holder the right to enter the Faroes unless it is stated in the visa, just as a visa for the Faroes does not give the holder the right to enter Denmark, if it is not stated in the visa.

Visa is required for entering the Faroes regardless of the person having a residence permit in Denmark. Correspondingly, a visa is required when entering Denmark, even though the person has a residence permit in the Faroes.

Where to apply for a VISA

If you are a resident in the UK you should apply for a visa at the Royal Danish Embassy in London.

If you are not resident in the UK you should apply to the Royal Danish Embassy or Consulate in your country of residence.
